Power Analog and Automotive Process(X-FAB)
As the market leader for analog/mixed-signal foundry services, X-FAB offers a broad IP and technology portfolio with processes in geometries ranging from 1.0um down to 0.18um. X-FAB Group consists of five facilities located in Erfurt and Dresden (Germany), Kuching (Malaysia), Lubbock (Texas, USA) and Plymouth (United Kingdom). And X-FAB has a combined capacity of approximately 70,000 eight-inch-equivalent wafer starts per month and employs approximately 2,600 worldwide.

In contrast to most conventional semiconductor foundries, X-FAB does not simply stick to the ITRS Roadmap, endeavoring to produce ever smaller and faster CMOS process technologies. The ITRS Roadmap is our guideline our central aim, however, is to enhance and expand the CMOS and BiCMOS technologies it recommends with additional, special analog functions and modular options. X-FAB thus creates a broad range of new mixed-signal process families for applications in various areas, from the automotive and medical sector to industrial applications, communication products, or consumer electronics. Our state-of-the-art CMOS and BiCMOS platforms can be complemented with specialties ranging from analog mixed-signal functions to high voltage options, embedded non-volatile memories, optical, RF and bipolar elements, or the implementation of micro-electromechanical sensor technologies.

The main objective of X-FAB's design support service is to enable a first-time right not only for digital, but also for analog mixed-signal designs. To achieve this goal, we offer our customers full-fledged design support for all major electronic design automation (EDA) platforms, supplying correct models, process design kits (PDK), analog and digital libraries, a unique hotline service and design for manufacturing (DFM) support. Our X-FAB Extended Technical Information Center (X-TIC) guarantees fast and efficient access to online technical information.

As a company dedicated to offering its customers first-class service and support, X-FAB boasts the most comprehensive design support in the whole foundry business. Our unique hotline service is available 24 hours a day to answer any enquiry you might have, while our Technical Information Center X-TIC provides fast and efficient access to online technical information. As our customer, you are entitled to design for manufacturing support, and have access to a broad range of process design kits and free libraries optimized for analog mixed-signal technologies, which enable you to quickly and efficiently develop your own IC designs.
